Rewards Program

Every API call
builds your advantage

OrcaRouter Points reward you for doing what you already do — routing AI requests. The more you route, the higher your tier, the better your infrastructure, and the bigger your share of platform revenue.

How it works
Why Points matter for developers
You're already spending money on LLM APIs. Points turn that spending into compounding returns — better infrastructure now, and passive income later.

Higher rate limits

Every tier unlocks more capacity. At Surge tier (10K points), your rate limits increase by 1.5×. At Tide, 2×. At Storm, 3×. That means fewer 429 errors and faster throughput for your production apps — without paying more per token.

Priority routing

Starting at Wave tier (1K points), your requests jump the queue. When providers are under load and latency spikes, your calls get served first. This is the difference between a smooth user experience and a frustrated customer.

💰

Revenue share

Planned program: once live, Storm-tier members (200K+ points) will receive a proportional share of a pool funded by a percentage of OrcaRouter's platform margin. Not a discount — actual recurring income. The more points you hold, the larger your slice of the pie. Every month.

🛡

Dedicated support

Tide and Storm members get a dedicated support channel with guaranteed response times. Architecture review, migration help, incident escalation — the kind of support that normally requires an enterprise contract.

📊

Advanced analytics

Surge tier unlocks per-request cost attribution, model performance comparisons, and custom dashboards. See exactly which models give you the best quality-per-dollar for your specific use case.

🔒

Points never expire

Once earned, your Points and tier status are permanent. Take a month off, switch projects, scale down temporarily — your tier is waiting for you when you come back. No "use it or lose it" games.

Five tiers. Concrete benefits at each level.
Points accumulate from every API call. You never lose your tier.

Streak multiplier. Earn faster.
Route at least one request every calendar day (UTC) for 7 consecutive days to activate the 1.25× bonus on every point you earn. One missed day resets the counter.

Daily streak
Route at least one request every calendar day for 7+ consecutive days to activate the streak bonus. Resets if you miss a day.
When the streak is active
base×1.25× Daily streak=1.25× points
Base rate is 1 point per 1,000 tokens. With streak active: 1.25 points per 1,000 tokens.

Revenue share: how the pool works
Planned: once launched, Storm-tier members will share a portion of OrcaRouter's platform margin every month. Here's how it will work.
Pool source
Platform fees
x% of OrcaRouter's platform margin (planned)
Distribution
Proportional to points
Your points / total Storm-tier points = your share
Frequency
Monthly
Distributed as wallet credits on the 1st of each month
Early mover advantage
Revenue share is proportional to your Points balance relative to all other Storm-tier members. Right now, the pool is small and the denominator is tiny. Developers who reach Storm tier during the early period will hold an outsized share of the pool as the platform scales. This advantage compounds — your share only dilutes as new members reach Storm, which takes months of sustained usage.
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about OrcaRouter Points.
Do Points expire?
No. Points never expire and your tier never resets. Once you earn them, they're yours permanently. The only thing that can reset is your daily streak multiplier (if you miss a calendar day).
How are Points calculated?
Base rate: 1 Point per 1,000 tokens routed (input + output combined). Requests on an active 7+ day streak earn 1.25× the base rate. Points are awarded in an accumulator so every single token you spend counts — partial points roll over to the next period.
When does revenue share start?
Revenue share activates when you reach Storm tier (200,000 points) and OrcaRouter's platform pool goes live (date TBD). Points earned before launch still count toward your share — there's no penalty for earning early.
Can I lose my tier?
No. Tiers are based on cumulative Points earned, not current activity. Even if you stop routing for months, your tier remains. Points only go up.
How does the 7-day streak work?
Route at least one API request per calendar day (UTC) for 7 consecutive days to activate the 1.25× streak bonus. If you miss a day, the streak counter resets to 0 and you need 7 consecutive days again. The bonus applies to all requests on streak days.
Do all models and providers earn Points equally?
Yes. Points are based purely on token count, regardless of which model or provider is used. A request to gpt-4o-mini earns the same points-per-token as a request to claude-3-5-sonnet. The cost difference is reflected in your wallet spend, not your Points.
