How billing works

You are billed per token at the upstream provider's published rate — the same number on OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google's own pricing page. Cached reads bill at the provider's discounted cache rate. There is no OrcaRouter token markup on any tier.

Why zero markup

Most AI gateways add 5–20% on every token. OrcaRouter does not: token usage is pass-through, and the product is funded by the optional Team and Enterprise subscriptions, not by a margin on your spend.

What you are paying for

The free Hacker tier is the full gateway — 200+ models, one OpenAI-compatible API, and automatic failover. Team and Enterprise add seats, compliance enforcement and reporting, higher rate limits, SLAs, and priority or dedicated support.
